The water is stored in the tank on the roof in order to take advantage of gravity to irrigate the park. As you can see in the picture , before the remodeling there was also a second tank more height.
This building is located at the north-east of Ciutadella Park. This park was designed by Josep Fontsere in 1871 and was completed in 1888 for the Universal Exhibition. This building, designed by Fontsere, had to store water to irrigate the park.
