BACK TO INDEX
The project, which has transformed the seafront of the city, has been constructed using two different types of groundcover that responds to the complexity of the existing terrain. The interior part consists of concrete and on the side of the sand you find timber decking. The promenade width varies between 5,20 m and 90 m. One important broadening of the promenade takes place in front of the train station, making a public space of transition between the pedestrian axis of la Rambla and the new promenade.

With 1200 meters of length, the public space offers a fabulous view of the coastline. Without any doubt, the most remarkable element is the omnipresent bridge of the Petroleum. Singular and elegant, this old platform is the meeting point for the city and a scientific reference to its meteorological and oceanographic functions.
